You can get a flight from Gatwick to Pensacola (PNS) connecting in Atlanta for under £400 then its just 80 miles down the '98' coast highway to Panama City.

ideally i dont wish to drive from an airport
i rather fly all the way to the destination, be it one stop or more.

You can get a flight to Panama City with 1 stop but it does cost nearly £500, same airline, same start, same entry point.

    thanks for the reply

can i ask which airline and source
i guess i can call them for a further discount

    please advise

to be honest there is no direct flight so that is out of the question,
atlanta, georgia is the closest city to florida.

i did find a flight to jacksonville, florida but that is 300 miles away from panama city beach
also i was told to risk landing at the airport and then see if there are any flights out but we could be stranded there for a long time.

Yes but if you go on the wednesday you could get it for £506.50, the price and availability of airlines changes up at weekends.
