SKY rip off

Buts its not an unfair contract clause. Sky are able to "sell" the box at much reduced rates due to them being subsidised by the interactive companies. It is therefore integral to the contract that you keep the line attached for the year that you agree to. After that no problem. I removed mine after the year, have had new replacement boxes put in by Sky since with no need to reconnect.0

I had this prob before...I told them I was having work done to the house over a 6 month period and there would be times when the phone line couldn't be connected. I asked for this to be put on their notes.
Haven't heard another word since, and I still don't have mine connected as it interferes with my Broadband. These are the Good 'ol Days just wait and see!0 -

A few years ago I had SKY multi room but at the time I was never told that I should have kept the phone line plugged in. I received 3 letters, and was charged for breach of contract, after I had cancelled multi room. After having been "charged" for breatch of contract, I found out that my broadband microfilter was causing the problem. This christmasI got multi room again. I phoned SKY to say I wanted to upgrade my pack for over X-mas..but I was sold multi room for only 5 pound a month more (Total 38 pound) Just so my kids would stop killing each other over the choise of tv..... MISTAKE. 2 days before Christmas SKY took 81 pound through my DD. I rang and was told the same thing... No phone line. I was never told on the phone to plug my 2nd box back in.. and as this was a "new"contract I would have thought that SKY would have to contact me by letter before they charged me... After cancelling my SKY all out now and screaming at a manager for ten minutes, I was told I have to wait 30 days before they can cancel, and it can take up to 6 weeks before I get my money back. As you can imagine I cancelled my DD and Sky can wait for their money for the last 30 days untill I get my 43 pounds back. Has any one else had this problem??
Hello
I've had lots of trouble with Sky too regarding this. I kept getting letters and they kept taking out extra money from my bank account every month too because they alleged that my phone line wasn't connected (I have multi room too)
My phone line has always been connected ever since Sky was installed and I've had it for about 12 years now!
I had to make lots of phone calls, write to them, email them and got so sick and tired of it all.
They promised managers would ring me back, never did. Eventually they sent out some engineers to look at the problem (after having said this would cost me £60!!) and it turned out to be a faulty wire.
It took ages for them to refund the money they owed me too, it's a nightmare when something goes wrong.
