for me there really is no contest

    try

    http://www.carjet.co.uk/car-hire/spain/murcia-airport/index.php?ln=en&rf=999999

currently have a sale on as well with an extra 10% off their prices

    as to what is included

    they state

"Our car hire rates are inclusive of all required car hire vehicle insurances like 3rd party responsibility, CDW (Collision Damage Waiver), TW (Theft Waiver) and Bail Bond (where applicable) at Malaga Airport and have no car hire insurance excess, this means that there is no credit card deposit on arrival at Malaga Airport against damage to the car hire vehicle's bodywork and in the event of bodywork damage to the car hire vehicle (like dented panels, broken wing mirrors etc, not : tyres glass wheels etc see below) there is no renter responsibility."

have used them plenty of times and can thoroughly recommend them

Just a quick word of advice. Make sure all the necessary equipment like safety vests, warning triangles, spare bulbs etc is in the car before you accept it. The Spanish police are quite hot on this and you will be held responsible. Also removing any stickers etc. that identify it as a hire car and you as a tourist is a wise move.
    Have a great holiday!

We were in Spain at Easter this year and hired a car for a few days. Picked it up in Sitges and dropped it off at Valencia airport. We used eurocar who were very reasonably priced and good service. I found that I couldn't use some of the companies recommended on here as they didn't have offices in the places I needed to pick up or drop off.

Having hired the car we later wished we had taken the train from Sitges to Valencia and picked up the car there, as it would have worked out much cheaper than the cost of the hire car and the road tolls.

    Good luck.

Just returned from murcia airport on saturday , We used a company called - Auriga(sp) booked through carjet.com.......... the price was very competitive but they then charge you for a full tank of fuel up front ! - They supply the car with a full tank and then expect you to return it empty, which is not easy as you don't want to run out of petrol/diesel on your way to the airport.

So we ended up returning it with jsut under a quarter of a tank which we had already paid for.(nice scam for the car hire employees)
Murcia airport is still a very very small airport , so much so that there is no room in the airport for car hire desks ........ so you actually hire your car from the back of a van in the car park !

That said it was actually quite a good inclusive price - free extra driver - free child seat - no mileage limit - no extras etc

I have just booked a car for pick up at Gerona airport with Holiday Autos. They have price matched my cheapest quote which was with skycars (auriga) but they use Avis who allow you to bring back the car with a full tank thus saving more money. Worth a look!

Try a web site that compares car hire costs such as this one.

We also used Auriga through Carjetfrom Murcia airport this year. Yes very good with free extra driver and child seat, but we were also charged extra for being late (after 10pm) even though we had been standing in queue for half hour!!!

We also returned the car full of petrol, with no refund on this at this time.

When we returned from holiday I complained to Carjet regarding the extra late charge and we were quickly informed that we would be refunded in full for this and the full tank of petrol. It took a couple of weeks but it was refunded.

    Will probably use Carjet again.
  • Carjet- used them twice now and will use them again for Spain.

We hired through Carjet from Valencia and the car was supplied by Centauro. Halfway through the holiday the car was stolen. Can't praise Centauro enough. We went to the nearest office, (Benidorm) who sorted all the paperwork out with Valencia Airport office and within half an hour of arriving there we were on our way out again with a replacement car, at no extra charge to us. Considering that what we paid through Carjet was about half their "Rack Rate" it was exceptional service and value.
