Stain removal

Hi, does anyone have any hints/tips on removing a very stubborn water mark stain on a pair of white canvas trainers? they got wet in the rain and have dried out with an unsightly yellowish stain, washing in the eashing machine has made no difference.

You could try rubbing Vanish soap over the stain and washing the trainers in the washing machine again. I find Vanish excellent for all sorts of stains. Otherwise, you could get some of the cleaner specifically for white canvas shoes - we used to have to do this with our plimsolls when we were kids - it's sort of like tippex and you paint it on and let it dry.Debt at highest: £6,290.72 (14.2.1999)

I'll second the vanish - brilliant stuff. If not try Cif, the liquid cream cleaner with bleach in it. Don't bother with the squirty Cif as although it smells nice, it's just not good for stubborn stains

Sorry about that sad face (I'm always apologizing for it), I must accidentally click on it
