Italy - Cheap hotels/ B&B's and car rental

Hi
For our easter trip to Italy, does someone know which would be the cheap hotel or B&B for a week in and around Milan/Venice or Florence.
Also which will be the cheap car rental there? I have checked Holiday Autos is £112 (after discount) for a week for a 2door A/C car? Does any one know any cheaper than this?
