Living in the isle of man

In the next couple of years I want to live in the isle of man in order to save the capital gains tax on the sale of an investment property I will be selling for my retirement income. Has anyone experience in doing this and how did you go about it. Thanks happyeverafter.

The IoM gov site has a section on this - http://www.gov.im/visitors/moving.xmlI no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0
