    Is there any chance it has gone into one of the banks holding accounts? This happened to me with HSBC somehow the wrong account number had been used it was not a valid account so the bank moved the payment into a holding account. If this is the case then if your mother knows the exact amount and date pop along to the branch and ask if they can confirm weather or not this is the case.
    Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!
