tv programs to ipod

What is the easiest way of putting tv programs on my ipod. would I need one of those usb thingys that go into my computer??? Would I record onto the computer and then transfer to the ipod. we have the roxio copy and convert software. I have windows vista but no tv card in the laptop. The usb bit into the computer will be attached to the TV ariel? As you can tell I am not into all this techie stuff, thanks for your help.

I will put the airel in the washing machine and the aerial in the usb thingy!!

I have found that I need to convert films and tv programmes into mp4 before they can be transferred onto my ipod. I spent ages trying to add them with no success in the start and didn't realise I needed to convert them into the correct format for the ipod to recognise.

I use videora, takes a while to convert but you can put the programmes into it's queue and leave it to run in the background on your pc.
