hi i have recieved a letter from a dept collection agency demanding i pay in full a dept from a barclay card i had some years ago over 7 years since i last paid on the card, i have not had any comunication from them in all this time but now this dept collection agency is threataning me with court, can any body offer any help

Providing you have had no contact with Barclaycard or any company acting on their behalf, the statute of limitations act should apply.

They cannot persure you after 6 years basically.

Presumably Lowells sharks. Plenty of threads on here, basically they are sharks, they buy old debts for a few ££££ and hassle people to repay. Basically, you can write requesting a copy of the original debt agreement as per the CCA, it costs £1, but send a PO, not a cheque as I would not trust the bar stewards. Whatever you do, don't phone, don't admit to the debt, and do not pay them.
