The company I work for buy products from Europe and sell them in the UK.
Due to the Euro € being so low we are not making as much profit and redundancies are going to happen:(:(:(.

Against which currency or currencies ?
Currently the Euro is pretty strong, especially against the GBP and USD
Over the course of the 1st half of 2008 I would think the Euro will get even stronger against many currencies, and those two especially'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -
I think he must mean a low rate of exchange - i.e. his pound is now buying fewer Euros.
If he's importing goods from Europe to sell here then his comments about less profit make sense in that context.
To OP: Expect things to get worse. Especially if the BOE cuts interest rates further this year.0 -

The exchange rate between the pound and euro is what I meant.
