I have been having a bit of a clear out and my children are now a bit old for all the cuddly toys they have. They are all in excellent condition and are the usual fayre of:
teddy bears
disney characters
assorted rabbits, dogs, dolls
telly tubbies, tweenies
Hopefully you get the picture;)
Anyhow does anyone know of an appropriate charity that would make good use of these?

If you have a hospital near you I'd try asking them to see if they needed any toys for the childrens ward.
Failing that, a local childrens nursery or playgroup maybe ?Mary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

My children's school does a 'rags r us' collection termly. As well as clothes, they also take soft toys. I cull my 4yo's collection on a regular basis.;) You could contact your local Primary school to see if they run anthing similar0

Does anyone have any further ideas for re-using teddies?
Doctors and hospitals are not allowed to accept them now for hygiene reasons and insurance requirments.
Playschool and school are not allowed to accept them also.
I have tried 2 chairty shops and they both said no also!
It seems a shame to throw them away or even to remove the stuffing to make something else!0 -
Why not ask your Health visitor if she knows any families that would appreciate them.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0

Our local RSPCA accept cuddly toys. Dogs like to chew/play with them, and all animals like cuddle up with a soft toy!0
