Where's Warm

I'm looking for a relatively 'cheap' weekend (ish) away but I'd like to go somewhere warm Feb/ March time.

Any ideas please?

Thanks

if your only going for a few days you're kind of limited as otherwise you'd be spending half the time travelling and the rest packing, you could try for the algarve (2 1/2 hour flight) or tenerife/menorca/majorca (3 1/2 hour)

If you're going somewhere for a few days out of the summer season then you always run the risk with the weather.

If it's sun you're after then i'd have to 2nd Lanzarote, if you think the 4-hour flight is worth it. You're likely to get less cloud there (as long as you're at a Southern coastal resort) and if you're lucky you'll probably even get pretty much unbroken sun with temps in the 20's every day.

You could also go to Southern Spain (as mentioned by other posters), less flight time, but slightly more risk of there being cloud and maybe even some showers. For example Malaga could be sunny with temps in the 20's but if you're unlucky it could also be cloudy/showery with Max temps around 16C (pleasant but not really beach weather).

  • Hi there - we are going to Alicante for a long weekend and are staying it what looks and the reviews say a great little place, www.lesmonges.net we were quoted 40 E for a double room which seemed quite good and from what I have read you eat as cheaply and as expensively as you wish - our flights cost £50 but that was booked in October
