London - Swansea overnight stay - Bath?

Anyone know where to stay overnight in Bath. Looking at 22/08 for 2 adults and 2 children, even travelodge is £85. Is this worth it? is it central etc. Just looking for an overnight stop on way from London to Swansea and always fancied going to Bath.
Any other ideas where it would be nice to stop along way? Like to get about 2/3rds journey done before stopping.

Not far from Bath, close to Castle Coombe or Lacock. Outlet village in Swindon (J16) is good too.

Swindon outlet village isn't really 'seeing Bath'!!! :rotfl:
I'd vote for the Premier Travel Inn in Chippenham - easy access, not far from Bath, would be £62 for the night you'd be there and if there's anything wrong during your stay they refund you in full.
I love Bath. Don't often get to stop there on the weekly drive from London to Cardiff though

How about Bristol? Very close to Bath, and a worthwhile destination in its own right.0
