Activehotels.com, anyone ever booked through them?

Wondered if anyone has ever booked accommodation through Active Hotels.com. If so, how did they charge to your credit card? I have booked with them and as they are a British company with offices all over the place, unsure of how they are going to bill me. Would I be better off giving them my Nationwide card details or just leaving it with Tesco visa card. Called hotels direct to see about charges but six of one and half a dozen, but don't want extra 3% on top, depending on how this company are going to charge. Have been quoted euros in booking confirmation but not sure whether I'm doing the right thing when it comes to which credit card to use, as some people have stated that you get sometimes get offered a choice if using your card abroad. Because I'm booking through these guys, not sure whether it's classed as abroad or not???

Any info appreciated. Thanks.

I booked a Barcelona hotel through Active Hotels.
We paid the hotel personally at the end of the stay - I think the card details on the website were only given in case you incurr a cancellation fee. I assume all their bookings will work the same way.0 -

Same advice. I've booked through activehotels several times (although I think the last time was over a year ago), and so far as I can recall the credit card number has just been to secure the reservation -- payment has been direct to the hotel on arrival or departure (depending on country).0 -
Thanks for the info, I'll just use the Nationwide Card then for payments, got six months 0% on it and they gave me a reasonable limit which should cover it all.
