Hi everyone,
Ive been using my 15inch LG monitor since 1999 - (lasted 9 years!!) but now the screen goes yellow and I have to give it a whack to get it to go back to normal colour again. - yep its a sign that I need a new monitor!
Flat screen monitors seem the best way to go - but I do not have a lot of money on me right now and the best I could do is probably fork out £100-£150 on one.
Anyone know where the best place to shop for a 17inch flat screen - at a reasonable price is?
thanks

I'd recommend some of the big online retailers such as ebuyer I've no idea about which model to suggest though. If you're prepared to spend up to £150 you can get a much bigger monitor than 17", that's budget 22" territory, or a decent 20" or nice 19". BTW If you're going widescreen I'd recommend bigger than 17" so you get a decent height screen.
Looking at ebuyer they have a 22" Samsung for £165 which looks great although it is outside your budget. It's my problem, it's my problem

thanks for the help - some excellent prices on ebuyer - but which models are reliable - so many companies to choose from....0

17" - £85.76 - http://microdirect.co.uk/(19691)HannsG-17-TFT-LCD-Monitor-HW173AB-Widescree.aspx
19" - £97.51 - http://microdirect.co.uk/(27660)HannsG-19-TFT-LCD-monitor-HQ191DP-5ms-black.aspx
20" - £134.77 - http://microdirect.co.uk/(24203)Iiyama-20-ProLite-PLE2001WSVB1-Analogue-LCD.aspx
22" - £145.69 - http://microdirect.co.uk/(26321)Edge-10-22-TFT-LCD-monitor-W221-5ms-DVI-speakers.aspx
As you probibly guessed Microdirect.co.uk is a good place for computer parts. You will find that most people on eBay selling there parts get them from here.
If all else fails, try pricerunner.co.ukRules, Rules, Rules .....0 -
Play.com seem to have some good LCD deals right now. (I'm tempted to 'upgrade' my 17" but really cant justify it!).0

Don’t know if you can stretch to it but I just got a 24 inch Acer from laptops direct.
Cost was £200 all in. It runs at 1920 x 1200, reviews I saw were quite good and the only downside I can see is it has no digital input, just the vga0 -
quite happy with my acer 20" widescreen, £130 from argos0

I've got one of these and I'm very impressed.

The only slight downside is that there's no titl on the base. Apart from that it's ace.0 -
just saw this acer 24" on hotdealsuk for £187, bit more than you wanted to spend, but boy what screen you would have!!! there is a review here. Free delivery too!0
