Thanks for all your replies.
My wonderful DH says i can have whatever i want as long as its not the £2000+ ones lol but i am having trouble deciding between 2 one is all electric , looks good, is what i wanted has 2 ovens and has a flat top so clean and smooth lines for my new clutter free kitchen but scares me as i have only ever used electric when doing my healthy eating cooking course so i have used one only 6 times but was fine each time. The other is duel fuel has cast iron pan supports which i am not overly keen on deep top which i wont like cleaning but has 7 hobs rather than the 5 the other has and it has 2 ovens and a grill. i am leaning to the all electric as means we will save money not having to run a gas pipe into the new kitchen and it is on offer meaning i can spend more on the new units but i am just worried never having had an electric cooker before i wont like it after i get it here.Still TryingGrocery challenge July 2016

Duel fuelHiya
We've just got a dual fuel range style cooker. It's got 7 gas rings including a large one for Wok cooking which is fab. There is a griddle but you can take it off if you just want to use the gas rings. There are two ovens and a separate grill and we love it. At the moment we are being very precious about cleaning it and it still looks lovely. I really want to try and keep it nice. My only advice is DO NOT BUY IT FROM DIXONS ONLINE! Enjoy choosing your new kitchen xxJanuary budget

My electric fan-assisted oven doesn't even have to be warmed up , the heat is instant... not sure why u have to wait 20 mins for the heat ?#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

I was always a huge gas hob, electric oven fan until I got my ceramic hob. They heat up as quick as gas and are easy to clean. I also like the fact that when I'm cooking things my hob can be like a slow cooker in that I get it boiling really fast then turn the heat off, when theres a pan on there the hob retains the heat and carries on cooking it nice n slow for me.0

ElectricSharra has a good point. I think those of us who said "electric" had really nice electric. Given the choice between old-fashioned electric and modern gas I would choose gas. If the choice was between a lovely flat easy to clean ceramic hob and gas, i would choose electric ... I like my 5 burner gas cooker in our rental property, but ceramic is much easier to keep nice.Mortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600Overpayments to date: £3000June grocery challenge: 400/6000
