IT skills (DWOR), what does this mean?

Options
I'm hoping someone will be able to help me with the above question. A friend of mine is looking at a job advert and they advertise it with the following:

IT Skills (DWOR)

does anyone know what DWOR is, or what the letters are abbreviated for?

I have googled it but can't seem to find anything to help. I'd really appreciate the help as he has just been made redundant and is desperate to get another job :o

thanks in advance

HAVE FOUND THE ANSWER, THANKS

It may be an organisational abbreviation (e.g. Dorset Works Organisation Region) which everyone inside the company knows and nobody outside has heard of...

Might be a good sign of initiative for him to phone them up and ask!
  • thanks for your reply. I've carried on looking and have found it!!

It compares actual work done with what should have been achieved acording to the plan. The idea is that it picks up problems while there is still time to rectify them.

In my experience it's a term used in some manufacturing companies, but not much elsewhere.
