Sending SMS from PC to mobile

When I first went online in 2001, I used to use genie.co.uk to send free text messages from pc to mobile. Genie is no longer, looks like its part of O2 now.
Is there still a way to do this?

I used to use genie too, and then this:

but a quick search on google brings up a whole load of sites. Try searching first.
