Does anyone know if it is possible to format individual characters in the legend on a graph in Excel e.g. using superscript and subscript?

Only whole words or labels I think. Even if you format the data in the cells with superscript and subscript, it isn't carried forward onto the graph axes.
Best to just add text boxes with the formats required.0
