Moving out in a bout a month-notice to cancel?

If we are moving out in a month-probably-would i be better to let the utilities know today-so i have given them one months notice?I dont want to end up payin an extra month of anything because i havent given them enough notice.

    Hi,

    all you need to do is take a gas and electricity meter reading the day before you move out. Call yourself the day before you move out with the meter readings and a forwarding address. They'll create a final bill and sent it to your new address.

    You don't need to give them one months notice. Hope that helps!
