Delete browisng history not working

Right I had a problem a few days ago where I could not enter any secure sites on the web> Eventually managed to sort this by doing a system restore.

But ever since then when i click TOOLS>DELETE BROWSING HISTORY, nothing happens. Used to get a box where I could delete cookies/temp internet files etc.

Anyone got any ideas?

its most likely a problem with DDL's and IE (assuming your using IE) a re-install should solve the issue for you (thats an IE re-install not windows) however, if you havent got the time then try CCleaner

its fast supports many internet browsers and does more than keeping your history hidden

I have installed CCleaner for now, and this has done the trick.

If I want to uninstall IE, I assume it would be in the "add/remove programs" i would need to do this. Is that correct?

Then where would I download it from again?

Sorry if these are silly questions, but I buy a computer it works, I'm fine. It goes wrong or I have to do something slightly techie i'm !!!!!!ed.

Uninstalling IE is not an option I would want to try, it would probably cause you more problems that it will solve. Main one is Windows Update requires it to be installed.
