What's not working, hard disc, won't boot / software error. or just generally dead?

If it's the hard disc, it's easy to replace. If it's memory, again easy to sort. Motherboards, much more tricky as are screens.

eBay a good bet as ormus suggests, or give it away on Freecycle.
  • Its just dead - i did get the guys at my work in IS to look at it but couldnt fix it.

Its a El system and about 2/3 years old - will look into free cycle. Only thing i'm worried about is the information on it - dotn think it stoo much - just personal things like photos etc.
