Is there any point starting a court case now?

The title says it all really. I have £2,000 of bank charges i am trying to claim back and have been through the whole process of letters on here right up until the 'final demand otherwise I'm going to take you to court letter'. No joy so far, not even a partial offer. Is there any point starting a court case, even if it is just to get my case 'in the system' or should I jsut wait for the test case to start/finish?
any help or advice much appreciated (I have read all the articles/guides on here before someone suggest reading them).

no point, as long as the bank have on ther system that you want your money back, you should hear from them when the test case in over, mine was in the court process just about to get a court date when it was all put on hold, so we're all waiting for the outcome.0

but is it better to be in the court system so the precedent that is set by the test case rules or to be in the banks system?0

You need to be on the OFT system more i guess, i wouldn't waste you money on starting a court case now as i'm £80 down for the court costs.0
