Can anyone tell me if its legit to buy updated TomTom Maps from a seller other than TomTom?

I dont think the new 7.10 maps can be bought from anywhere else but TOMTOM as Im sure you need to use HOME to activate them on the new 7.221 software. Any I have seen for sale are the old 6.75, 6.32
TomTom is actually selling all thier maps for 50% off... UK and Ireland is only £29.95 and Western Europe is £39.950 -
Legit-no idea. But when you buy them they are tied to the device connected to TomTom Home at the time so don't think you can transfer them. If someone is offering you them on a cd or something then almost certainly not legit.0

Thanks, i was looking at the ones on Amazon etc, but looking at the current Sale for the sake of a few quid think i will go to TomTom direct.

You can buy tomtom 6 on disc but not tomtom 7.0
