I remember reading about a single use credit card where you are just given a credit card number which has a pre-desired limit (eg. £1) for purchasing things online.
I have searched these forums and google but can't find where they are. Also does anyone know if you have to pay for these and if each card contains your details.

It's Cahoot Webcard. You have to have a credit card account with them, they just generate a one time use number. Any money spent on that card number gets charged to your card account in the usual way.0
