Should I be concerned about this ?

After being messed about for a few months by an organisation who claim that they are "Proud to be different", I decided that it was time to formally register a grievance and visited their site to see what the recognised whingeing formalities entailed. I could not readily find anything so I entered "complaints procedure" in the quick search box. After a few seconds the following message appeared.
Request Blocked by Proactive Scanning
Your request to URL "http://www.nationwide.co.uk/search/start.aspx?searchterm=complaints+procedure&btn_search=search" has been blocked by Webwasher Proactive Scanning. The request indicates that a potentially unwanted program may be installed on your computer - please contact your administrator. Name:WW: Unwanted.Hotbar.gen!80URL:http://www.nationwide.co.uk/search/start.aspx?searchterm=complaints+procedure%26btn_search=search
I use AVG and run it every other day, Ad-Aware 2007, Spybot, SpywareBlaster, SpywareGuard, and SuperAntiSpyware. My firewall is enabled albeit the Windoze variety !
Seeing as how I am administrator-less, could someone please advise me if my lappy has a prob and what I can do about it or is it just a ploy by them to try and reduce the number of complaints that I understand that they are currently receiving ?

I have no idea, but that search results in http://www.nationwide.co.uk/contact_us/making_a_complaint/making_a_complaint.htm
Try that link directly and see if it is a fault with their webserver or your computer.
I really don't see the need for all that software if you are a careful web user.0 -
OP re that software you mentioned you use, heres my thought on it
AVG good one to use
Ad-Aware 2007, again good one to use
Spybot, good one to use but is it not the same as 1 of the 3 below
SpywareBlaster, not used it before
SpywareGuard, as above ive not used it before
SuperAntiSpyware isnt this 1 the same as the 2 as above, id get rid of all 3,
My firewall is enabled albeit the Windoze variety ! id use one of the free firewalls you can download,
what ive suggested above is my opinion, someone else might provide a better one or diagree with me
i use the comodo firewall, comodo antivirus and comodo malwareNo Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20 -
I use or have used the majority of the software that you already have installed.
Make sure they are all running the latest updates and then boot nto safe mode and run then from there. I do this once a month just to make sure.
Spyware Blaster and guard can not run as such as they operate in the background.
Just for info Spyware blaster updated today.0 -
Thank you all for your comments, as you may have guessed my knowledge of things technical is probably marginally less than Tony Blairs understanding of macroeconomic investigative techniques. (I wished I knew which employment agency he uses though).
All of those antivirus and spyware progs are ones which have been recommended on here at various times so I thought, "the more the merrier" (except in the case of antivirus where I gather that more than one is a no no).
In the interval between my first post and this one, I have run AVG, Spybot and SuperAntiSpyware and have been pronounced as having a clean bill of health.
As an aside, I have just e-mailed my mate with a request that he does a search on the site in question with the same phraseology and see what he gets.0 -
