hi there , Please remember that these companies often purchase these bad debts at 10-20 in the £1. That why they offer a reduction . I have been hassled by phone . I,ve now sent 3 request for the CCA and deed of assignments. You will see these explained on other posts.

    Hi

other will be along but groceries, petrol and car insurance are huge and all could proably be cut massively. I have to go but have a look at the Money saving Old style Boards for inspiration on food etc. Also there are tabs from the front page for insurance etc which will have links for comparision sites.

We have the cheapest insurance. He is only 24 and therefore costs are higher. The food bill is as low as it can be and the petrol is for work and leisure he has to travel quite a long way to and from work each day.

You can always save money on food bills!!!

    How many is it feeding?

I have 3 children (one still in nappies) and a husband. My husband takes lunches to work, and my 2 older children have packed lunches for school. I spend no more than £200 a month on food and household shopping, roughly £50 a week. Some weeks I have managed to shop for £30ish, others go over a bit. But my budget is £200 for the whole month and we manage it.

The key is meal planning and buying cheaper brands, cutting out the snack and treat foods that cost a fortune. Pop over to the oldstyle board for some tips on reducing the food bill.

My own view. If I was the partner and mum in/out of law was sorting OH finances I would be f***g furious and I would not be cooperating with the debt plan.

As it is he pays for the groceries and no doubt she buys them. Hopeless.

Sorry RAS I don't understand what your meaning is . Can we get back to the original question please which was that 1st Credit had agreed to our payment of £20 a month but had suddenley said that they want it DD or they would no longer agree to it. I wanted to know what they could do to my son if we just kept on sending the money as before. I have come home to a message on the phone asking my son to ring them urgently. I am able to speak to them but don't know if I should ring them back or not.

Actually , I'm sorry I asked. I came on here to ask a question and so far it has grown to 20 posts. I still don't really have an answer to my question, I fail to see why you needed to know what the debt was or how old , or have my sons SOA just to answer my question. This site is supposed to not be judgemental but some of these post have been. What is wrong with someone helping someone else with thier problems if they are unable to sort it themselves ?. It's ok for Gemmzie to help her father but not for me to help my son. I concider that I have done very well so far and I only post on here if I come across a problem that I need advice with. I didn't expect all this flack. Thank you to all the people who were nice and goodbye.
