Hi
A quick question, hope someone has the answer!
I have tried to contact ryanair but have been on hold forever!
I booked flights for 2 of us online & chose not to click 1 bag each as were taking 1 bag between us & taking it as hand luggage.
Is this acceptable or do I have to phone & change my booking?
Thanks in advance

You are allowed to take one bag each as hand luggage and there is no charge for this. As long as it meets the following conditions:
-Weighs no more than 10Kg
-Does not exceed the maximum dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm
If you're bag weighs more than 10Kg or is bigger than those dimensions there is every chance they will charge you to check it in, which will cost you £10 each way.
As long as you can meet those conditions you can take the bag free. If 10Kgs is not enough, or the dimensions are too small, then split your stuff and take a bag each. Each ticket includes a free piece of hand luggage.
Also as a reminder, liquids in hand luggage have to be in bottles less than 100ml and sealed in plastic bags. I just plan to buy my stuff in Boots in the departure lounge when I go to Dublin in February!0 -
hey im going in feb too!! thanks for that info... I just found it on their website as u posted this!
I thought i would have to phone up & amend booking (at a cost of £25!) but hopefully they'l just charge at check in if need be..
Have a nice time0 -
Why don't you just take a cabin bag each - as long as it meets the size & weight limits it's FREE0

A quick tip. If you arrive at the airport without having checked in a bag, go to the airline desk first. Pay for the bag and then present the voucher at check in.
What most people seem to do is queue up for check in, try to check in a bag without having paid, get sent to the airline desk, have to queue there and then queue again for check in to show you have paid.0 -
We bought 2 cabin bags from tesco at £6.44 each with wheels & handle. so far have used them on Ryanair and Qatar airlines as cabin luggage0
