Travel Money Cards - worth it?

I am going to the US in February and am trying to decide how best to take spending money. I'm definitely not using my regular debit card as it is Lloyds, and I don't want to have to take out a new account or credit card.
So my options are all cash or a "travel money card" (with a small amount of cash for places that don't take cards).
Is it worth getting a card, or would I be better off just taking a load of cash? I would probably only be taking about £200, but I still feel a little uncomfortable carrying all that cash around.
Thoughts?

Thanks, I've read that but it's only about debit and credit cards. I mean the travel money cards you can buy from banks/post office etc that you pre load with X amount of dollars.0

Depends on the charges but most of them are even worse than Travellers Cheques and substantially worse than using credit & debit cards0

if you're only taking £200, i'd take it as all cash to be honest.0

You would actually be better off using your Lloyds card than most travelmoney cards.
But as markymoo says, if it's only a small sum you might as well take cash0 -
Thanks for the responses. Think I'll go with the cash then.0
