epson printer paper jam error

i wondered if anyone can help me please?
i have an epson c44ux printer which wont let me print it dispays a paper jam error message and when i press the eject button the paper passes through it without any problems but it will not print..

With this sort of problem it's generally one of 2 things:

Either a hardware/electrical problem where a microswitch or sensor has failed

Or there's something caught up inside the printer - possibly where a real paper jam has previously occurred and some of the paper is still inside it.

The first category or pretty much uneconomical to fix, because of the "cheap printer, expensive cartridge" model that the makers use. Probably best to send it for recycling and get a new one.

For the latter, open it up and have a careful look for even the smallest slivers of paper or accumulated dust in the mechanism. With a bit of luck you'll find something fouling a switch or covering an opto-sensor.
