Does this deal apply only to paying the lump sum, as opposed to the deposit with direct debit ?

I've got one of the old Tesco Finest Clubcard Mastercard Credit Cards!!! I'm not sure if this deal will only apply to the current version of card which Tesco are issuing.

Their quote was over £100 more expensive for me so I couldn't be bothered with all the rigmarole. But the offer was only 1000 points at the time.
