It [the "Argos board"] really REALLY ought to be done away with tbh and the posts just moved into either quick grabbit, or shop while you drop.
Just my 2p, but the admins won't listen, so I'm going to boil my head now that I've wasted 2 minutes of my time posting this.0 -

i have to agree would rather see a amazon board far more bargains on there , argos is pants.
that makes it 4p
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming ~ WOO HOO what a ride!0 -

;)I remember the RO days.....Oct to Dec 2004!
I picked up £11,000 worth of items for family, friends, work and other MSErs for less than £3,000. Best bargains I remember were 15" LCD TV for £82 (at a time when they were about £300 cos LCD TV's was quite a recent thing then.14" TFT's for £42, quad bike for granddaughter £14, camcorders reduced from £600 to £125.........wish the RO's would come back like that
At that time the board moved so fast and the bargains were so fab that it really did need it's own board, but I agree that I never look at the Argos section now, so if there are any fab bargains I miss them as well.
Edited: it was so bad (or I was so addicted) back in 2004 that I very sadly had Argos ring and reserve number on my autodial on both home and mobile phone!0 -
Agreed 6p? OK when there were alot of bargains (in the short term it seems) but now I miss reading them as well.It [the "Argos board"] really REALLY ought to be done away with tbh and the posts just moved into either quick grabbit, or shop while you drop.

So....agreed.....8p0 -
On the other hand, Boots has its own thread on the Grabbit Board (now on part 14 I see), and that really takes determination to follow! I rarely look in either the Boots or Argos sections as they are both so long, but it is certainly easier to spot an Argos bargain than a Boots bargain...
Just my two penn'orth

Out of interest - Anyone know what happened to it? Do Argos not produce RO lists anymore, or did their staff get done for leaking it?
Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle. :A0
