Recently purchase microsoft office 2008 from
http://www.softwaretechuk.com/
As yet I've not had the goods only an email to say the order was cancelled. I've tried to contact them and I've even sent them a letter but still no response.
The money has been taken from my credit card so would it be worthwhile contacting the cc for advise?

When did you order it, when did you get the cancellation email, and when did they take the money?
I would contact your CC company ASAP and see what they say, as they might be able to help.
It's a really naff web page! If a price looks too good to be true, it usually is!
Also, a genuine company would give details on their web page such as location/address, telephone number, email address etc... none of which are on this web page. Infact, the only way to contact them brings up a pop-up box which requires only you to enter your details, and it doesn't give you any of theirs!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
This isn't MS Office which is being offered, its a collection of Open Office and a load of other Open Source software - of which I think most is free (please correct me if I am wrong).
I think you have been stung m8 - sorry0 -
Hi there, the website has now changed to one that only offers open office.
Before it was a fully functioning site offering an array of software. I do not know why it has changed. Maybe because they have stung people. when searching for them in google the offer seems to still exist
The cancellation was recieved about 2 weeks after the order(place 28/11) and the money was paid through nochex, nochex have told me that they cant do anything.
Increasing looking like I've been had for £31. How would the credit card company help?0 -
Do you mean Microsoft Office 2007 or Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac. There is no Microsoft Office 2008 for Windows.
If you mean 2008 for Mac then its not actually released until next Tuesday (15th Jan).0 -
I think the credit card company could only help if it was over £100, so they probably can't for just £31.
Maybe it might be worth contacting Trading standards just so others don't get ripped off!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')

from what i can see on the web page youve paid for someoone to rip "open source" software which is free toi people for the amount that youve pasid
contact your credit company and file a dispute with them and they can act on your behalf
