Orange Customer Service

I have just spoken to the rudest and most obscene advisor in my life, when I called Orange to ask why I have been locked out of using my account on their website.

He didn't tell me his name, department, wouldn't transfer me to a manager, and then was abusive towards me, knowing that the call wasn't being recorded.

I advise you all not to buy from Orange and use a different provider. MoneySavingExperts take note :D

I also have experienced an abusive Orange call centre employee - he also would not give his name, pass me on to a manager etc and this was regarding our business group phone contract not personal! Since I complained, no doubt along with lots of other customers, Orange have created another contact number for businesses - but this has obviously not resolved the problem.

Purely by chance, I changed to Virgin Mobile a few weeks ago.

    Glad I did now.
Their - possessive pronoun (owned by them e.g. "They locked their car").
    They're - colloquial/abbreviated version of 'They are'
There - noun (location other than here e.g. "You can buy groceries there") OR adverb (in or at that place e.g. "They have lived there for years") OR adverb (to or towards that place e.g. "Go there at noon") OR adverb (in that matter e.g. " I agree with you there").

I agree as well that Orange's customer service isn't the best. But, two things:

1.) I used to be with Vodafone and they had almost the same attitude - they just can't give a $£!&!

2.) I personally don't think you should advise people "not to" buy form Orange as they have some very good monthly plans compared to people like Vodafone and O2. Having a bad customer service is not everything, with mobile phone networks, consumers will have to consider a few factors: network reliability, costs pro rata, deals, and, customer service.

all you need to do is ring 150, then type in 1,2,4,2 for billing complaints, and complain to them, they are generally very good, my bill should normally be £30, but i complained because of poor service from there customer services people and got £25 taken off!

just need to know what to say

    Hi
I renewed my 18month contract with Orange at the weekend all fine great deal. Then they told me phone would be delivered by DPD formerly known as Parceline, Alarm bells. I have had experience of DPD.
If you miss delivery the calling card gives number which is a premiumn rate number but does not mention this on the card. Also does not give call charges.
I spoke to another eprseon at their depot who had phoned the number and was kept waiting for 7 minutes before a rattled off address which was too fast so had to phone back.
It would seem that DPD use this as a money making exercise.
My new phone was due for delivery today Wedensday so i rearranged my days diary to await delivery.
Used DPD online tracking service this morning only to find out at 11 am held at depot.
    Orange useless.
Now want to cancel the old contract which has expired but they say 30 days notice. Is this legal??
Surely when a contract is up its up???

If your contract has expired, and not been renewed then you can cancel whenever you wish.

I'm not sure I understand this - are you saying that Orange hadn't desptched it, or that the delivery company have messed up? If it's the delivery company, I would argue that it's a bit harsh to blame Orange for that - admittedly they choose the delivery company they use, but if there's one thing I've learnt from this board it's that they all seem to be as bad as each other!
