Which External Hard Drive

Does anybody have any recomendations for a good external hard drive for about £70. I was looking for Western Digital or Freecom i have seen 250gb up to 500gb but reviews seem to be a bit hit and miss any help would be appreciated. I am running windows Vista Premium

    This often comes up on the forums, so worth running a search to see opinions.

    I'm very happy with the Western Digital 500Gb Premium MyBook drive (USB 2 and Firewire), it's fast and reliable. Good prices from Amazon. Freecom are good too, also look at LaCie.

    If you want a desktop drive the MyBook is good, but if you want to be able to slip into a pocket look at the WD Passport, or similar products from other manufacturers.
