Aaaarrrggghhhh! Flamin' mad! Just tried to join the Poker tournament for the 500 points, and it wouldn't let me in. Kept telling me it was by invitation only. I've got the email invitation!! It was certainly not clear how to find the Pigsback tournament, either. I am really annoyed. Better go and find something to break ...
Hi droopsnout
My wife had the same problem last night. I played last week and the window opens up at 9pm if you are logged you do not have to do anyhting.
She wrote a email to curly this morning to tell him what happened I suggest you do the same.
Thanks. I'll do that a little later in the day. I keep emailing PB because I STILL haven't been awarded my points after winning the Rustlers quiz question on, I think, 10 August. They never reply. Very cheesed. Again! Looks like a phone call maybe in order.Much of the social history of the Western world over the past three decades has involved replacing what worked with what sounded good. - Thomas Sowell, "Is Reality Optional?", 19930 -

The total number of jelly beans in the PiggyBank is … 383!
PiggyPoints will be credited to the winners within 24 hours
well done if you did!!!
I can't remember what number I went for!!! Aaargh!!
Oh well - just have to wait and see if I get a bundle of points in my account.
Is there any way I can check what I went for??0 -
i cant remember what i went for either??It is not what you give your friend, but what you are willing to give him that determines the quality of friendship. -- Mary Dixon Thayer0

How do you know if you've won the competition? Do they email you? I'm not sure I trust the announcement on the page - if I'm wrong, Saleem Rafiq is a lucky person, winning two days on the trot(ter).0 -
I knew because my name appeared where you saw Saleem's. BTW, his name appeared two days running because PB did not put a new question on the site yesterday. Some gent from Down also had his name on the site two days running, for winning one of the other quizzes. Again, PB didn't replace the question yesterday.
No, they do not send an email to congratulate you. You have no evidence that you have won unless you take a screen grab, which I shall certainly do in future, if I am ever lucky enough to win (again?). For the crossword, they do not put the daily winner's name on screen, either, so we never really know if the 2000 points have been awarded daily. Nor do we know if you can enter the crossword three times on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (as the puzzle doesn't change until Monday).
All pretty amateurish and basic, really. But I'm sure they are lovely people and will in time get these minor niggles sorted out. (And, p-l-e-a-s-e, PB, may I have my 1000 points?)
Edit: Just wanted to add that DW's points for Jelly Bean competition were simply added to her account. There was no email sent to say "Well done!"Much of the social history of the Western world over the past three decades has involved replacing what worked with what sounded good. - Thomas Sowell, "Is Reality Optional?", 19930 -
My friend ( who i told to join! ) won the daily crossword last thursday. She just recieved an email to that effect but has had the 2,000 points credited to her acount xYour greatness is measured by your kindness; your education and intellect by your modesty; your ignorance is betrayed by your suspicions and prejudices, and your real caliber is measured by the consideration and tolerance you have for others.
