Thank You Scottish Power

I have been a Scottish Power customer since I moved into my flat in Aug 06, however, my landlord unbeknownst to me arranged for NPower to cut off the electricity supply to all the flats and install meters in a communal meter cupboard in the basement when previously the meters were in each individual flat. I carried on paying my bills as normal and then one day earlier this year NPower turned up to cut someone off (they had been advised several times by various residents that the person they were after had done a flit in September 06!). It was then discovered that the meter they were going to cut off was mine as it was then noticed that all the meters had been incorrectly marked. NPower told me that I owed them money so I reminded them that I never had been nor would I ever be a customer of theirs. I ended up phoning EnergyWatch who put me in contact with NPower - who were as much use as an ashtray on a motorcycle:mad:
I contacted Scottish Power to explain my predicament, they told me to continue with my standing order and to advise them when NPower came to look at the meters and sort out which meter belonged to which flat. NPower duly turned up and it was discovered that everyone was paying for the wrong electricity and NPower then correctly marked the meters. Scottish Power contacted me again to say that they were sending out their own meter reading agent so that he could ascertain exactly which meter belonged to me (I had given them the meter number and reading). The chap came in November and took a reading and then left. The nice lady at Scottish Power rang me up again and asked me to provide a meter reading because she thought that the one given to her by the meter reading chappy was wrong because my power usage (despite being a totally electric flat) is not that high. I took another reading and gave it to her and she pointed out that if they based the bill on those two readings then it would show that I was using in excess of 160 units per day which she knew wasn't correct. Today, she called me again and I provided another reading as promised, so she went away and did some calculations before calling me back.
She worked out that I use on average 7 units per day which she then took 10% off making 6 units per day. I am currently £16.75 in credit and will carry on paying by standing order £25 per month.
I can honestly say that Scottish Power have been brilliant - my account has been looked after by one person and she has always called me when she said that she would, even if I have missed a call, she will call again until she catches me (sometimes I dont hear the phone).
I wish I could name her on the site because she is a credit to Scottish Power:A . The best customer service I have ever had from anywhere.
