Up the screen brightness???

I have an Acer Aspire 5683WLMi and it runs on Vista Home Premium, I turned it on the other day and the screen had gone quite dull, like the dullness it usually goes to when its running off battery rather than mains, but it was running off mains. I went in to battery power settings (after going in to lots of things, since everything seems in a different place to XP!) and didnt touch anything and it just brightened back up. It was then fine for a few days and today ive turned it on again and its dull again, but when I go in to battery power settings even when I tweak them I cant get the brightness back.

Do I need to install some updated drivers from the Acer site or something?

Any ideas?

  • Hi there. Try holding the blue Fn key to the left of the spacebar then use the right and left arrow keys to adjust the screen brightness.

I bought an Acer a few months ago, and whilst completely happy with the purchase this is something that needs doing fairly often.

    Hope this helps

    Dan.
