How do I store my bargain Christmas Pud?

Hi

I bought one of the very posh M&S Christmas Puds at about a quarter of the original price. It is "sell by" March 2008. Does anyone know the best way to store it for next Christmas? Should I freeze it or will it just keep as it is in a cupboard? I'm sure in the olden days people kept them for years, but would welcome some advice.

We would keep it as it is but if you are in any doubt then freeze it.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

Slow stooze it at 0% for 12 months and then balance transfer it to the freezer.
