Long balance free transfere credit cards

Hmmmmm,

Did a quick search on the net for the best deals and decided to give Virgin a go with 9mths interest free on balance transferes - (since it's about that time I need to jump my debt again).

Tricky form this - asks all sorts of questions about current household income, existing credit cards etc. which took a little searching for. Then dinner was ready so I took ages completing it.

Final click opened a window saying item not available please ring ... and then a list of numbers (0800 numbers), to be given the product I requested. Might have been because I took so long - security and all that.

I phoned the number and got a recorde message hwich suggested visiting http://www.nbma.co.uk or enter my credit card number using the telephone keypad?? hmmmmm

well if the form I filled in got to them I recogne it's up to them to contact me. Or maybe I'll try https://www.virgin.com later.

Anyone else had any problems ... I used https://www.applyonlinenow.com

Meeeeeeeeee :o

Sounds like the online application timed out, try again but do it without breaks. Always try to have amap info to hand. Best if you are sent or can find a printed shortform.

This happened to me with Egg, and I am sure there is part of the programme that logs time taken to proceed and concludes "this person is not answering straight away, therefore may be dodgy".

If you left your PC in the middle of the application process I would fully expect it to time-out for security reasons. If it didn't. I'd be a bit concerned. The messages you got don't make a lot of sense. I would get the Customer Services or Applications number off their website and call to see if they had your applications details but they almost certainly won't unless you had completed the full application process and submitted it. I think you will have to start the application again, but I'd call them first to make sure that they had not already done an online credit check.
