Delta website issue

Have just priced up flights to the states on Deltas website which came out at £216, a good price which I tried to book but it wouldnt process. RandDelta and gave them the same details and they put me hold and said there was a problem with the computer and couldnt give me a price, they did ask how much I had been quoted online and when I told them got 2 different answers.
1. If you can get that price online its guaranteed so you should go and try and book it.
2. That price is wrong, I cant give you an exact price but it will be around £316.
Just wondering if i have any recourse to the first web price? Any advice appreciated.

Have you tried booking them again? I booked 2 flights from Manchester to New York for half term for £170.40 each about half an hour ago and have had email confirmations etc back from them.0

I booked online this am LHR to MSY - £254.
Delta have some amazing deals on there today - try & try again.
Maybe try booking via another browser - Firefox - might do the trick.
it just might be that everyone is trying for these deals so might take a bit longer as their systems might not be able to cope.0 -
You could also try booking through a 3rd party, I was pricing up a trip this morning and lastminute.com were about the same price as Delta but a whole lot more straightforward. Not sure whether they would be obliged to honour a mis price, if thats what it is but i got through to the confirmation page, then got cold feet as need to check with work re time off before commiting myself.0

thanks for your tips, as it was a multi city vacation that may have caused the problem, I narrowed it down slightly and it came out at same price £216, a fantastic price as its manchester to fort lauderdale via atlanta and Orlando to manchester via atlanta.0
