cruise question

Just read another thread about a Med. cruise and in particular Bobstheboy's post. I have a question but I did not want to hijack that thread. I am about to book a cruise with vacations to go but one thing concerns me and that is they are asking for so much personal information- credit card details, passport number etc. I suppose all travel agents whether US or not require these details and email is the accepted method. Is this a totally safe way of conducting business. I would be interested in other members comments:confused: Thanks

It's much safer to give out these details over the phone than email.

As you saw I booked through vacationstogo. I did it by phone, they even have a free phone number. They are based in Texas so open about 11.30am our time. I found then very helpful and everything agreed is backed up by email.

There are other US based companies, just seach through Google and check the prices. Good luck.

Normally if you give credit card details over the net it is by an encrypted link, if you do it over the phone it is in plain English and anyone could be listening.

A phone call is VERY insecure !
