Hello
Having just turned 16 I am looking at getting a current account.
I will need to be able to have EMA payed into it within a few months and was wondering if you have any reccomendations for me.
It would also be nice if you could reccomend a savings account also.
Thanks in advance

Ok well is compeltely depends really. Do you want a card to get money out of cash points and to be able to spend in shops?
There are 2 I know of:
HSBC and Lloyds.
HSBC give you a solo card whereas Lloyds gives you a VISA debit card, both are valid in 99% of shops.
Savings wise, I would just leave the current account for now. I assume you are planning to drive? You could use your EMA money for this, unless you parents are going to pay for you and if so, you could use the money to buy a car and insurance (I would start saving now! Insurance will be around £1500).
Any other questions?0
