I Hate Natwest!!!!!!!!!!!!

  I hate my bank for everything they have done to us over the 8 years we have been loyal to them and still continue to do.
All they do is screw us over, scam us, rob us blind and never ever help when we're struggling!
Just rung them to ask if we can pay a reduced amount for our loan this month only, cos we really are stuck and they said no! They can't change any payments or payments dates unless they re-do the loan, adding on my overdraft - which won't go through as our credit rating is crap and we are currently going to court over our nr loan with ccjs, charges and reduced payments there...
if nastwest take the money out i wont have enough for my mortgage - this onth is the first month of reduced payments i have to make it else they will start repossession orders as im in arrears with the mortgage itself.
GOD I HATE NATWEST im sat here in floods of tears now, wondering how im going to manage and what the hell im going to tell my hubby, ive already got to tell him we are in arrears with our other loan now and cant afford to pay it up to date.............

Hi there
Please don't worry there are people who can help you with this.
This is the bank's way of 'helping you' NOT!!! We were with Nat West for over 15 years until they kicked us out because we had the cheek to want to pay off our debts!! To add insult to injury they have just served us with a CCJ which we are fighting against! All I could suggest is that you close your account with them and have your wages paid into a new account with a different bank and also set up your dds from the new account and tell NW you intend to pay off the od at an amount you are able to afford!! Don't let them bully you into increasing a loan / overdraft, this is not the solution for you and makes money for them!!! you could also give debtline or CCCS /Payplan a call for further advice. They will be able to help you sort things out, and keep posting here as there are more experienced people who may also be able to help you

Please try not to worry (easy for me to say I know). Put the kettle on, make a nice drink and by that time the experts will have arrived with something far more helpful.
Just one question, does hubby know any of the worry you have?0 -
Hi, sorry you are feeling so upset.
Can I suggest you get a new bank account (a basic one with no overdaft) with a bank or building society where you do not have a loan or credit cards.
Banks do not take any notice or assist you when your struggling if you owe them money.
I would change your direct debits and wages and other income asap.
I would draw out all the cash to put in the new account too, or maybe get a friend or family member to pay your monthly bills such as mortgage by cheque this month, give them the cash 1st obviously.
I would then send them a letter with the cheque and say that you are in the process of changing bank accounts so you will need a new direct debit form for next month onwards0 -
I've got a basic account set up already,, but this wont help because they will be taking the payment on the 16th Jan they told me and if the dd bounces they will charge me for that too. also if there is no money in the account it will be showing as 2400 od, which means my charge at the end of the month for it will be sky high....
i really am at my wits end and dont know what to do, we are in such a mess everywhere financially and my hubby seems to ignore the fact we are in so much crap. i cant afford to pay most of the bills this month and he says 'it will be ok' how? how???
ive been in touch with cccs before and they suggested dmp, which my husband just point blank refuses to even hear about
'its my debt and my fault, i will get out of it myself' he says
i just want to scream at him and smack him round the head a few times0 -
sweetheart a big hug to you for feeling so down.
Open a new bank account with a lender that you DON'T owe money to asap.
Most companies nowadays do basic accounts with no frills for those with poor credit.
cancel all direct debits with both the bank and providersand ask if you can make a cash payment if the dd isn't set up by the end of the month.
A mortgage is your priority hon, not the Natwest loan. theya ren't showing you any loyalty at all so get rid of them.
Have you posted an SOA previously, sorry if i've missed it? if not then pop one up and we'll see what we can advise.
Have a big hug and go make a cup of tea. dry your eyes and announce the beginnings of war!!!! you can get through this hon. Always here if you need a natter, just PM me.
Kind regards
P

who's the basic account with? don't worry about the charges hon, it's that mortgage payment thats the priority. the charges and overdraft can be sorted out later down the line, if no money going in then no money can pay for the charges, yes the account will be defaulted but your credit rating is hsot at the mo by the sound of it so this won't be a problem. You can then negotiate a repayment with them AFTER that mortgage has been paid.
Can you post the exact situation as it is right now. (i mean what the situation is right now, not post it right now! lol) then maybe we can help you see the wood for the trees as standing a little further back from the situation?debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -

So what!!
Sorry to sound so heartless (it's not aimed at you honey but the bank)
If you change bank account to another bank then what can they do???
Add charges!.... and you then claim them back.
You need a new account to take back control honey.
When you have done that it's then your CHOICE what gets paid first (obviously mortgage, council tax etc)
Sorry but paying the loan is not a priority to you, but it is to them.0 -
You really need to get your OH on your side. I know you've tried already but maybe put up your SOA on here and then show him in black and white (this is how men work lol) that things arent adding up every month and cut backs need to be made.
Please put your SOA on here and we will all help. You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0 -
I've done excatly the same with my bank today, F**K them they have never helped us or shown any loyalty to us. Having a money day today spent yesterday in tears, kicked myself up the !!!, its only money as long as its not secured on house they can wait! We are with CCCS told my husband he had no choice it was that or lose childrens home. They are fantastic. Although I'm really going to struggle this month I know my children got what they wanted for Xmas and I paid cash for it all. Beans again for tea then!!!Why didn't someone kick me up the backside earlier:mad:

with draw all teh money you can get your hands on,then pay for your mortage in cash at branch is poosible or give cash to friend so u can use their card to pay over the phone. Open a basic account with a new bank, get onto CCCS and write to natwest telling them you are with CCCS and here is a token payment.Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!0
