BMW Mini Headlights

Sorry if this is the wrong forum but I've never posted on cars before. Does anyone know why the headlights should suddenly pak in on a mini. Full beam still works and the side lights are ok but I'm having difficulty driving at night.
LMFAO.
Hoping it's a fuse type issue but knowing my luck it will be something far more expensive.

It's unlikely that both dipped beam filaments would fail together, so check the main/dip switch or relay if fitted.

Thanks espresso I too doubt the filaments will have gone. I'll dig the manual out and have a look. Bit worried though because BMW tend to have fancy boards that tend to control all the lights.
  • Have a look inside the fusebox cover should show you where the dipped headlamp fuse is located.

Most cars have a separate fuse for LH side and RH side, so unless two fuses have gone simultaneously - unlikely.

Check the bulbs anyway, my daughter's car had the same fault last year and I could have saved myself a lot of hassle if I'd have checked the bulbs first, BOTH dips had blown. "Impossible, it cant happen" Ha Ha Ha .
