dial up access to supanet isp ...problems ...

Trying to help a pal ... he's as "un-techie" as me !! ...

he said " my supanet dial up not working ... hear it dialling and then an engaged tone ... and i get an error page...... their tech services £1 a minute .. refuse to use" .

any easy answers to this ??.... (apart from him buying into a decent phone/broadband package !!) ..

is there a cheaper number for their tech help ??

is his dial up dialling a duff number ??

thanks ,

You should be able to find out the number & possible alternatives the modem needs on the help pages at supanet. However if an engaged tone is heard then it is safe to assume that the problem lies with supanet. If a normal phone gets an engaged tone that can confirm it
