SKY + SIgnal loss completely

Hi

After having unplugged al my av equipment to change tv stand i have re -plugged everything but the sky + box has lost signal. I've checked on the signal strength page and both cables have good signal strength when inserted into socket 2 but neither work in socket 1. I can only presume that this means that both cables are fine
Any info greatfully recieved

I don't suppose this will help, but anyway, mine lost signal for some reason the other evening. Went downstairs, OH was frantically pressing remote buttons to no avail. Decided to pull the plug for a few seconds, stuck it back in, nothing, no listings. Did it again, same result, but sat for a while trying to decide what to do, and bingo, up came all the progs. Turns out that it takes several minutes to sort itself out.

I had a problem like this... My standard box would show a great signal but when put on the channel it would say no sattelite signal being recieved... It started on a few channels and got worse.Turned out it was just the box on its way out.

I had the same problem with mine - turned out to be a faulty dish.
If you just phone sky & tell them you want to cancel the subscription - they'll ask you why & you just say well it's not working anymore. They will send someone out to fix it free of charge.
