Sainsburys CC 3 month 0% offer

A couple of weeks ago I received a letter from Sainsburys CC that contained an offer of 0% interest on purchases for the next 3 months. Unfortunately, I read it, then immediately shredded it.

Has anyone else had one?

Could someone confirm the deal for me please?

The way I read it, I can pay the minimum payment in Jan, Feb and Mar, then pay it off in full in Apr without paying a penny in interest.
If this is the case, I shall do the obvious thing. I'll put my normal monthly CC payment into our savings account for the next 3 months and only pay the minimum amount, then draw out the savings in April to pay off the CC. This should yield a nice little chunk of interest!

cheers,

colin

3 months 0% on purchases is pitiful, when 12-15 months is readily available...

Sorry, I should have said that I've been a Sainsburys CC user for years, so this is effectively a 3 month interest free holiday, not an introductory offer,

If this offer is on 'new' purchases, you might be best to start with a zero balance statement just in case any existing balance hangs around accruing standard rate interest due to their 'order of payments'. Always read the small print.

I hadn't thought of that, Good idea! I'll clear Decembers balance in full, then start from January spending,

    thanks again
