What a day!!! Went to Manchester Arndale store at lunch and spent £55.00 and got so much stuff. Walked back to my car and my arms were shaking the bags were that heavy! My friend was in Bury Boots and we were on phone to each other checking what we wanted. Also went to Trafford Centre after work and managed to get some other bits I wanted. Trafford didn't have as much as I thought but it was 4.30 by the time I got there. Cant wait for DS to go to bed so I can get all my purchases out of car (some are for him!!!!). Used various vouchers and got about £9.00 in points. Going to save them all for next Christmas. My Husband has now got enough "King of Shave" smellies to last him a life time!!!! Thanks to everyone on this thread for all the advise xxxxx.0

Boots in Durham was excellent today, loads of different things and the shelves were being re stocked all the time. Not so good at retail world this evening. No7 voucher with reduced No7 gift set( from £16.00 to £4.00) wouldn't scan so I couldn't have it. Also in Durham they had Sally Hansen Magic cure for nails reduced to £2.25, but this was still scanning at £8.95 at Retail World. Also got Wilkinson quatro reduced to £1.50. Checked receipt this was showing a .75p reduction then a 50p reduction so paid .25p!! Main problem with spending a lot is trying to break it down to reasonable amounts to get more than 1 x £5.00 voucher!!0

I went in to the Metrocentre at 4pm and was surprised to see the empty shelves. Still managed to grab £27 worth of stuff (about £100 originally) and I paid with them in my points that I save up all year. Even the SA was impressed.
There was lots of toys left in the shop and they were putting more stuff out too, I was chuffed I managed to get my Shaun the Sheep money box that I wanted at Xmas
I'm really chuffed with my stuff

Had a great time in Boots, Coney Street, York. Loads of good bargains. The shelves were emptying fast but I could not get any vouchers from the machine. No reliance should be placed on the above.0

Went to Exeter late, around 4pm. Suprised to still see a fair amount of stuff, they still had the accessorise hat boxes and some ruby and millie cases. I picked up 3 disney princess megablok sets but not much else as I was being good and only buying what I needed. I wonder if they will restock some items for tomorrow? I might pop in just to see.
Also got all my online stuff today, very chuffed with my £50 ELC easel bought for £12.50 and 2 Fisher Price Rainforest cot soothers for £6.25. All I need now is for some more stuff to come back in stock, I'm desparately after one the ELC pink keyboards and a baby annabel.0 -
Hi,
I only got a couple of things as I don't really like giving 'smelly' stuff as gifts unless I'm stuck for ideas or as an extra with the main present.

Boots points: £0.28
Pigsback points: 715 (4 xBoots£10 & 1 xPizzaHut£10, 2 x £10 clothing vouchers)

I am the same.....but I got loads of 'smellies':T....cos as you said, they can be an extra with the main present. They all cost me less than a fiver (and often much, much less than that:j) but when I give the main pressie and the smellie gift as well, all the family/friends think I have spent a fortune on them. It's a great feeling to know that they are chuffed with the pressies and I paid minimum price for at least part of the gift.0 -
Went into my Boots just after 4 pm tonight and managed to get a few pieces as not that much left. Spent £21.97 and got 2 Ted Baker sets that were originally £15 each, Bart Simpson Toothbrush and Bottle Opener, couple of Bratz sets, Adidas figt sets and a couple of other stocking fillers. Would have loved a Bart Simpson door stopper, but none in stock. Now going to check on-line to see if anything more added. Thanks for all the info in the lead up to today.0
