Travel Insurance to include son's friend

Hi,
Has anyone had any experience of getting travel insurance for a party that includes a family, plus one! We are taking our kids, plus DS1's 15 year old friend away with us in the summer - and I can't seem to find insurance that will include him.

Thanks, in advance

Have you checked to see if he already has insurance? Lots of people have annual policies now (mine comes free with my bank account), so he may already be covered by his parents policy.
When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.

Might be that's he only covered if travelling with parents if on a family policy. My ex has family insurance but the dds only covered when travelling with him. If we go anywhere - or they go separately - they need separate insurance.

Yes, it depends on the policy, my sister's current policy covers the kids when they travel without her, but her previous policy didn't.
